PEDI PEC, a PPEC (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care, pronounced P-PEC), offers medically prescribed day care services for children under 20 years of age, Monday through Friday for up to 12 hours a day.
We provide on site nursing care and therapy services, and Medicaid provides transportation to and from our facility for children who qualify for PPEC services.
Serving the South Florida Community in two locations.
PPEC services are prescribed by a physician and are available for up to 12 hours a day. Children age twenty years and younger may be eligible for PPEC services which are covered by Medicaid and many private insurance companies.
Support for the family is the cornerstone of the PPEC program. Family training is an integral part of each child's care plan. While giving the child the opportunity to be socially engaged, it gives family members a vital reprieve, allowing them the opportunity to remain employed and economically independent. Our staff of specially trained and experienced nurses and nursing assistants provide for all aspects of each child's unique medical needs.
We offer physical, occupational, respiratory and speech therapies. Special education teachers provide daily educational activities appropriate for each child's level of development.
